    1. [INDIANA] Re: Malte's in California> new update> can you shed any light on this one?
    2. Loretta, I talked to the older brother too last night. He surprised me by returning my call. But neither of them are my mother's half brother. The dates are not close to the 1934 plus the son I am looking for was born in IN. These 2 MALTE men were born in New York and the oldest was born in 1936.. None had ever had a last name change and never heard their mother (Jane) mention any other marriages. He said it must be skeletons in the closest. They did not even know their mother was ever married before.. 2 times.. so my search begins all over again. Back to East Gary, IN. Some possibilities I came across were the baby boy could have died, or she miscarried. Or maybe it was put up for adoption. Weird how my grandfather married her when she was pregnant in Dec. 2, 1933 then had of divorced sometime in 1934 or early 1935 because my grandfather remarried to a Frances Smith who ended up being my grandmother and had my mother in 1937. I was told that even though Jane and my grandfather were divorced, Jane was still invited to family gatherings and my grandmother was not. HMM guess it was a friendly divorce. Then again my mother said that my grandfather said he only married her to give the baby a name. It does make you wonder, doesn't it. So I assume that she (Jane) was at least 2 months pregnant when William SKINNER and Jane Dexter BILBO had gotten married in Valparasio, Porter County Indiana. My grandfather worked at the Postal Office in East Gary Indiana. I can only assume he was living in that area at the time of the birth. I wonder, can I check any hospital records for birth since I don't have the son's name? All I have is the parent's name and an approximate year of birth. What would you suggest? Do you know of anyone who can shed some light on this one? God Bless Pam
