Per my Indiana Atlas & Gazetteer by DeLorme...... You need a detailed map of the Chicago, IL and East Chicago, IN to see the actual location...... There is a Calumet Township in the Gary, Indiana area per my Indiana Atlas & Gazetter by DeLorme...... Perhaps this is what your ancestor was refering too.....
