Hi Teddy, I read your post (below), and would like to request, if I may, a death, obituary, and/or a burial/cemetery record......ANYTHING....regarding the death of my g-g-g-grandmother, Harriet (VAN ARSDOL....many other spelling variations) KENTON. I have not been able to locate any info on her death. I know that she and my g-g-g-grandfather, John A. KENTON lived in Jasper Co., IN for about 18- 20 years after they married in 1840 in OH and moved to IN soonafter. I found them in Jasper Co., IN on the1850 census, then in 1860, they were no longer there. John A. KENTON had moved to Olathe, Johnson, KS with his family, but Harriet was missing (as per 1860 KS census). Thanks for any help, Ginny in AZ >-----Original Message----- >From: Tdeford6@cs.com <Tdeford6@cs.com> >To: INDIANA-L@rootsweb.com <INDIANA-L@rootsweb.com> >Date: Sunday, February 25, 2001 7:57 PM >Subject: [INDIANA] I'll do research in IN if you wish. > > >>Hi, I'm back, with a new computer, and the time to help you in the >Indiana's >>research I'm close to the State Library with the information there. they >have >>records of Revolution pension, some counties have marriages, sometimes on >the >>certificate up until the late 1800's, then some after that have information >>on the records, and they have all the information, on them, place of birth >>for them and there parents, place were the parents are living at this time. >>They are all on microfilm, but some counties won't let them be copied, and >>some of the counties had fires so lost a lot of records.
