I was able to get the marriage record of my g.g.grandfather married in 1843 in Indiana from Clerk of the Hamilton Co. Courts. and I also got the marriage record of his first marriage in 1837 also Hamilton Co. Indiana. Someone said they could not get a record of a marriage of Washington Co. In. In the 9th edition of the Handy Book for Genealogists it says that the county clerk has marriage divorce probate and circuit ct records from 1814. and you might also check with the County Historical Society.
