Hi Sue, Thanks for this work that you have done and shared! I'm wondering if you are related to Martin CARPENTER married Mary ETHINGTON/ETHERINGTON of Fountain Co., Indiana. Their son, Henry CARPENTER lived with my GGgrandparents, Scott S. ETHINGTON and Elizabeth Jane CARTER, both of Fountain County, Ind. for a time in Grand River township, De Kalb county, Missouri. (1870) He was 19 years old, I believe at the time.
