However I did find a Cardin, Oklahoma in Ottawa County, per my Microsoft Streets & Trips Program...... I typed in the word "Cardin" and "Cardin Oklahoma" is the only "Cardin"....... Cardin OK is just a few miles south of the Kansas State boarder....... Who is your ancestors and where do you think they were living in 1870....... CRAWFORD ln Alboit township age 28 & head of household, single & living with his siblings. It states he was b in Ohio, as were his parents (unknown). Other CRAWFORD families are in same township. Looking for a connection between the families. Also living in same the GS CRAWFORD home were my Grandparents (never known) CLARA M. CRAWFORD (listed as sister of G. S) age 21 & her husband Franklin Harris (Benjamin Franklin was given name) age 23. Married in Allen County in 1879. Any information on this CRAWFORD line will be appreciated. The Illinois State Genealogical Society announces the 9th annual Genealogical Institute of Mid-America July 7-10, 2003 in Springfield, Illinois. Held at the University of Illinois-Springfield.
