    2. Carleen, someone sent this to a couple of lists I am on..... The reason you are all having difficulty is because of MicroSoft is having problems receiving and sending mail to it's severs. Apparently, this affects AOL as well. There was an article about it on the new the other day. There is nothing to be done, I guess, except to have patience. B The little ball that MacIntosh uses (much like the Microsoft hour glass) just keeps spining with nothing happening. I try to stop the ball but never can. I just have to wait til they send the error message. However, I do try to keep clicking in order to get it sent. For some reason, the mail was sent without my even realizing it. So every time I got the error message I would try sending again. So, that's what happend. Believe me, I had no intention of sending that many emails. Sue

    2. Well, mail has been slow for awhile now. Some mail is only someone saying "why is the list dead?" Maybe it was the election, holidays, or people are just slowing down for some other reason. I know I used to get scads of mail on this list alone! I have 2 Indiana county lists and we are hopping there! Carleen

    3. Dick, I would go to Rootsweb.com and check out the Password Central section to see if you are still subscribed to all of those lists. I have heard that some people were unsubscribed over the last couple weeks when they had their server crash. Travis >>> rcar37@prodigy.net 01/27/2001 7:12:06 AM >>> Is anyone having the same problem that I am. I have been receiving about 20 % of my usual mail. I am on over 90 mail lists, and seem to be getting about 15-20 of them. I have checked with my ISP and they are showing no problem... Rootsweb is denying a problem..Where is all of the mail going... I normally get 10 or so a day from NJHUNTER, KENTUCKIANA, BUSHEY, to name a few... I am getting NONE... If anyone else is having a problem, please answer me privately, as I am not getting the Rootsweb mail, and if you will, please name your ISP. I am trying to find out what the problem is. Thanks.
