Her name was Julia and she was probably around 10 years old at the time. I will pay for all that you find, could be a lot since this is a common name. HEISY, HISEY, HIZEY or varient spellings in Bedford, Indiana (Lawrence Co.). Julie's bio family and sibblings lived here. The bio dad's name may have been James or William, but I will gladly pay for all listing of the above. WOLF, WOLFF, WOLFE, or WOLFANGER: These WOLFANGER families lived in Southern Indiana, especially around Madison and South Hanover (Jefferson County). John FARBAR in Jefferson COunty. LONGERE in Marion County. Bernhard, George, or Franz EWERS in Posey or Vanderburgh Counties. I will gladly pay for your parking ($7 each day) and all the copying expenses. Her mother died when she was an infant so she was adopted by the MYERS family and grew up known as Julia MYERS. She later lived with her adopted parents in New Albany, Indiana (Floyd Co.). She was married there (May 14, 1885) to William ROEDER (from Louisville, Ky). The marriage license (Floyd Co.) does not give the parents names. A note in the New Albany paper said she was married at the home of her parents in New Albany, but did not mention the parents names. When I visited Indianapolis I checked the City Directories at the Indiana State Library for Floyd County, but they did not have a book for the year 1885 in which to look up the listings for MYERS/MEYERS families. Julia MYERS ROEDER died on Feb. 10, 1910 and the Indianapolis, Indiana newspaper noted her death but did not list any family members even though she was married and had some children. I would appreciate any ideas anyone might have on how to further research Julia (HISEY) MYERS, perhaps on-line or via snail mail since I live in Connecticut. I would appreciate a look-up if anyone has access to an 1885 New Albany City Directory or perhaps the 1880 Census for Floyd County. A look-up for the surname HISEY, HEISY, etc from the 1860 Lawrence Couny would also be appreciated (first name may be William or James). Thanks, Ann --------------7B5562CC90DEC928C815F7DC--

    1. [INDIANA] Samuel Kirkpatrick b. 1829-1830
    2. Looking for information on my gg-grandfather. Hoping to find parents and siblings of his. He is supposed to have been born 1829-1830 in Indiana. Very little to go on I know, BUT. Know that he married in MO in 1855 the first time. Married the second time 1863 probably in TX or MO. Died in TX 1869-1870, was struck by lightening. If sks has Indiana records covering the 1830's perhaps they could see if he shows up anywhere. His middle name may have been Henry. Sharon CA

    2. First off, thank you to all of you who replied. It was scary seeing all the things I worked for for 5 years suddenly disappear, and though I didnt reply to each of you individually....the support I felt meant a lot to me. Apprarently I wasnt the only one hit by this, the Carter site and "Census Online and other Diggins" went down as well, so if you had problems with them you might want to check their sites again soon. Wrote to tripod again yesterday and got this email this morning: >>Dear Tripod Member, We apologize for the removal of your site over the weekend. Due to some technical errors, we mistakenly removed several member sites and are in the process of restoring them. We did not single out you or your site, please accept our apologies, your site has now been restored.<< I checked the main page and everything seems to be in order. Thanks to all of you Kathy http://khuish.tripod.com/
