We were lucky to find a letter dated 1937 to my grandmother Anna MAREK Chromie from her sister in Krajne. In the letter the names of brothers and sisters were mentioned. It also mentioned that my great grandfather, John MAREK was now 80 years old. What a find. Anyone researching the MAREK surname? Here is my family tree so far. Really bruising my brains on this one. I think the year may have been 1903 and he went by the name of Izor Mitrovich. My grandfather never talked about his parents, only other young men like himself trying to get far away from the war.
