    2. Virginia
    3. Hello Rooters, Has anyone tried the LDS website familysearch.com ? I have been unable to access it for two days. When I type in information and click on the search button I get the message: search is unavailable due to maintenance SEA-001 and SEA-002. I'd appreciate hearing if anyone else is having or has had the same problem. 1. [INDIANA] REDNOUR family early 1800's
    2. I'm searching for a REDNOUR [or other various spelling] family that was in VA in the early 1800's. I'm looking for the family of Noah Henry REDNOUR b. ?1805-12? VA......family lore has his parents from the Alsace area of Germany, but I have no confirmation on this info, just family lore. Noah Henry m. Permelia Catherine HAYDEN 29 May 1845 in Paoli, Orange Co.IN. They later moved to Monroe Co.IN, then finally settled in Owen Co.IN near Freedom and remained there to raise their family of 6 children. I have not been able to find his parents located in Orange Co., so I don't know if he came there by himself or with them? I do know that he was a chairmaker by trade, possibly something that his father did also? If you have any info on this family, I would like to share family info with you. 1. [INDIANA] MEDSKER, Jones, Bowles, Nottingham, Ball, Fitzgibbon,
    2. This book has no cover, and no index, and no author. I bought it on Ebay; it just has the insides, but it is full of Indiana biographies. I am not researching this family, just thought I would share. I do not know anymore about these families or these surnames. NOTE: I don’t know if there is any additional mention of this family in the book, it has no index. I do not want to sell this book. I am typing the biographies from it. Typed by Lora Radiches: Surnames in this biography: MEDSKER, Jones, Bowles, Nottingham, Ball, Fitzgibbon, CHAUNCEY L. MEDSKER, JR. For a long period of years the name of Medsker has been held in high honor in the legal profession in Delaware County. In a prominent firm of lawyers at Muncie two members of the same family are in practice, Chauncey L. Medsker, Sr., and his son, Chauncey L., Jr. Chauncey L. Medsker, Sr., who has practiced law in Eastern Indiana for over fifty-two years, was born July 16, 1856, and has lived all his life in Delaware County, where his father was a pioneer settler. His mother was Miss Sarah Jones, daughter of one of the early mayors of Muncie. Chauncey L. Medsker, Sr., for a number of years was prosecuting attorney of the district comprising Delaware, Randolph, Blackford and Jay counties. He is secretary and director and attorney of the First Rural Loan & Savings Company of Muncie, and attorney and director of the Peoples Loan & Savings Association. Twice he was nominated for the office of mayor, and in one election was defeated by one vote. He is a member of the High Street Methodist Episcopal Church. He married Leonora Bowles, who was born in Indiana. She is a member of the Presbyterian Church. They had five children: Mildred, Mrs. W. A. Nottingham, of Eaton, Indiana; Agnes, wife of W. H. Ball, treasurer of the Ball Brothers Company of Muncie; Chauncey L.; Margaret, wife of Paul Fitzgibbon, of Cincinnati; and Miss Elizabeth, of Muncie. Chauncey L. 1. [INDIANA] Fremont Library / Heritage Quest census
    2. This was taken from the Fremont site and cut/pasted here: Dear Researcher; This comes as a response to your inquiry regarding access to our HeritageQuest database. We recently discovered that the online product was improperly configured by the vendor. This error was allowing access to the product to ANYONE for free, which is in violation of our licensing agreement. That error has now been corrected. I regret to inform you that only those in our service area with a valid library card are allowed access. While we have briefly explored the idea of "charging" those out of our immediate service area, at this time our organization is not yet large or sophisticated enough to be able to administrate such a thing. As a "silver lining", however -- the responses we have received have been wonderful validations of both the product and the communications network among genealogists. We urge you to approach your local public library and encourage them to invest in HeritageQuest. I would also like to express my appreciation to all of your nice compliments and remarks concerning our website. We are grateful for your understanding and comments. Kelly Krieg-Sigman, Library Director Fremont Public Library
