    1. [INDIANA] Marriage Search : CHEW, Ezekial C. & ADAMS, Mary Jane (RIDDLE)
    2. Travis LeMaster
    3. I'm trying to locate marriage of Ezekial Cooper CHEW & Mary Jane (RIDDLE) ADAMS, circa 1879-1888, probably in St. Joseph's Co., IN, but could also be in Marshall Co., as Dr. Chew moved about quite a bit. This would be the second marriage for both. 1. [INDIANA] EMMELINE BISHOP - RODGERS/ROGERS - DAVIS
    2. I am looking for info on EMMELINE BISHOP born in IL about 1825. Her parents were born in NY according to various census records but don't know their names. EMMELINE married a fellow named RODGERS/ROGERS (possibly Joseph) around 1840-42. They had 3 children: Charles E. Rodgers born about 1842 Chauncey E. Rodgers born about 1844 Alfred M. Rodgers born about 1849 MR. RODGERS/ROGERS must have died between 1849-June of 1850 (he is not listed in the 1850 census with his family) EMMELINE got married again on October 13, 1850 to HERMAN DAVIS Thank you for any insight, Debbie, CA

    1. [INDIANA] Re: Malte's in California> new update> can you shed any light on this one?
    2. Loretta, I talked to the older brother too last night. He surprised me by returning my call. But neither of them are my mother's half brother. The dates are not close to the 1934 plus the son I am looking for was born in IN. These 2 MALTE men were born in New York and the oldest was born in 1936.. None had ever had a last name change and never heard their mother (Jane) mention any other marriages. He said it must be skeletons in the closest. They did not even know their mother was ever married before.. 2 times.. so my search begins all over again. Back to East Gary, IN. Some possibilities I came across were the baby boy could have died, or she miscarried. Or maybe it was put up for adoption. Weird how my grandfather married her when she was pregnant in Dec. 2, 1933 then had of divorced sometime in 1934 or early 1935 because my grandfather remarried to a Frances Smith who ended up being my grandmother and had my mother in 1937. I was told that even though Jane and my grandfather were divorced, Jane was still invited to family gatherings and my grandmother was not. HMM guess it was a friendly divorce. Then again my mother said that my grandfather said he only married her to give the baby a name. It does make you wonder, doesn't it. So I assume that she (Jane) was at least 2 months pregnant when William SKINNER and Jane Dexter BILBO had gotten married in Valparasio, Porter County Indiana. My grandfather worked at the Postal Office in East Gary Indiana. I can only assume he was living in that area at the time of the birth. I wonder, can I check any hospital records for birth since I don't have the son's name? All I have is the parent's name and an approximate year of birth. What would you suggest? Do you know of anyone who can shed some light on this one? God Bless Pam

    3. It is probably time to end the off topic discussion anyway. You may be right, but the bunk file contains the following: This message is an Aqueduct Software Instrumentation Data File. It has been automatically generated by a software application that has been instrumented by an independent software vendor or internal development group using Aqueduct Software's Instrumentation library. In short, alarmist messages like the one circulated a week ago are similar to all the bogus "virus warning" messages that arrive in e-mail. Never believe them. ***

    1. [INDIANA] Family Treemaker Spyware??
    2. This is a cut/paste from an overseas list I belong to. Does anyone know anything about this? If there was dialogue on this topic prior, I missed it. But it fits in with recent talks regarding sharing/selling our genealogy data. Bonnie/IL **** When searching for a file this morning, I ran across a text file that apparently was looking at my Family TreeMaker files and Internet access. The file is called "aqueduct.txt," and had information about the software on my computer, web sites I had accessed, and a few references to my various .ftw files.  When I researched this file online, I found that it is, indeed, a file that was installed with Family TreeMaker 9.0, but was only supposed to 'help find problems with the Beta release of the software.' I know that I have invested thousands of hours continuing a project started by my mother, and eventually want to publish the results with credit to her for starting the project, which is why I have not 'published' my research to any of the genealogy sites yet.  I am not a "conspiracy theorist," but am uneasy about the possibility of spyware since genealogy is becoming a big business, and recently I have found online even some information that I gained from original research from original documentation in our ancestral village.  Of course, there is always the possibility of a coincidence, but all three of the families I am researching have very unusual last names so I would be surprised to find others digging up the same information I am at approximately the same time.  Although the articles I found (links below) dismiss this program as an unfortunate incident - and one even focuses on the reporter's non-tech background suggesting he may have misunderstood the way software programs are developed - I am a technology professional and take these programs seriously. I visited Genealogy.com's website to submit a complaint.  You may also want to check the below reports.
