I in search for any information on my Grandparents. BENJAMIN F. HARRIS b PA 1856 d 1940 IM MI. & CLARE M. CRAWFORD b 1860 IN. This is according to 1900 census in Whitely County, IN, Columbia City District. While info is sketchy on Benjamin Harris, I know nothing of the family of CLARE CRAWFORD. Anyone come across the name CRAWFORD or HARRIS in there research? Children of Benjamin Harris & Clare Crawford Harris, all born in Indiana. I would like to find birth location or other info, such as marriage records. ALBERT 1882 BERTHA 1884/85 HARRY J.(Jay) 1887 ALZA (f) 1890 (mar. H. EMERY about 1906-08 in Allen County, IN) BENJAMIN F. 17APR1893 in DeKalb County, IN. RUSSELL 1895 (possibly in Wabash, IN.) I find nothing on this family in DeKalb County or any other county in IN. in that timeframe of 1880 & 1900. According to 1900 census they were renting the home in Whitely County. My grandfather was a Blacksmith by trade. I can find no evidence that they ever were landowners in Indiana. Thank You, RHarris [email protected] [email protected] Apparently in that timeframe of 1880 and 1900 they moved to several Indiana locations. My Grandfather's occupation was a Blacksmith. The family eventually settled in Detroit, MI area.
I'm new to this list. I'm looking for Thomas Nathaniel Johnson born 1859 in IN. His father was George (B) Johnson. His mother's name might be Elizabeth, not sure. Thomas married in Missouri 1884. Would someone on the list have a 1870 / 1880 Soundex and be willing to do a look up for me? Many thanks to you for helping. Margaret
I found this one too, with her as Phebe Rebecca Webb. There are some more, but I have no idea which on you want. Let me look at the map. Carleen

BECAUSE, when my son installed 7.0 for me, it went haywire too. So at that time, I was having a new CD drive put in, and the tech just uninstalled the 7.0 and put back my 5.0, which we had saved, just in case. My daughter says I am missing lots of new features not even having the 7.0, but I am okay with what I have. I did not like the "ice cream" colors of that screen anyway. AOL has been up to something this last week, believe me. I have lived through several of these weeks before. My son always says, 'just wait it out,' or his best advice is to drop AOL. But as he says, once they hook you its hard to leave. Sorry to be hashing this out on the list, but it does interfere with our genealogy. We will be told to cut it out pretty soon, when Barb sees us. :) Carleen
Yes it is AOL with their new 8.0 version. This same thing happened to me when I installed 7.0 last year. I don't think the 8.0 is completely ready to use, as with the 7.0, as I had to keep reinstalling it and I had 3 - 7.0's on my computer, I am now using 7.0b and it is working and I am not even going to bother with the newest version, it isn't worth the headache that comes with it. > > I have not loaded ANYTHING on my computer and it has been freezing, and > > doing > > all kinds of crazy things. While I sympathize with anyone having computer problems and appreciate the help that everyone is offering, can we please get back to ancestor hunting and take other topics off list? Thank you. I'm sure there are a lot of dead ancestors and relatives out there just waiting to be found. Let's look for them. List Mom Barb
I have not loaded ANYTHING on my computer and it has been freezing, and doing all kinds of crazy things. For you AOL users, it it THEM! Back about a month-6 wks ago, my Favorite Places went into my Filing Cab, into a file that is the last site I faved! I contacted AOL, and got 2 pages, which does nothing but tell me how to save my AOL file. I had to shut my computer down to have the room redone, so decided to wait until I hooked back up. I paid a tech $60 to do this for me, and I asked him to put my Fav file back where it was, and he could not. He said even if I did what AOL said, it would not do it! Also my daughter's favs AND Address book went to the filing cab! She did all they said, it is still there! You can't save anything in the normal way, and I don't think you can save the places to zip either. I am still on 5.0, and staying here, such as it is. If I get off AOl, I lose it all and I have not backed up in a while!!! Shame on me! Carleen
I am searching for a Nathan Oliver SMITH and his parents with siblings who was born in Delaware, Delaware Cty. Ohio on 8 April 1882. I know alittle about him, that he married a Synthia M. Donalson born on 8 July 1882. They married 22 Aug ? in Delaware, Delaware Cty. Ohio. She gave birth to a son Nathan Ewing SMITH 26 Oct 1909. She also gave birth later to a Mariah O. SMITH on 31 May 1917 but she died that same day only living hours. Synthia also died 6 days later, probably due to birth complications. Nathan must have moved to either Michigan or Indiana because he married a Daisy Mae McCALLUM (maiden name BROWN). Daisy was born in Michigan but had move to Indiana at some point. I kinda think it was Indiana that Nathan moved to. Anyway Nathan and Daisy married and later divorced, although Daisy was against it. Nathan must have moved to Alabama because that is where he died on 8 May 1855 in Montgomery, Baldwin Cty. Alabama. Can anyone related to this Nathan Oliver SMITH? God Bless Pam
Dear List, Looking to see if anyone may list a Rebeca Webb marriage in Indiana between 1855 to 1870. In or around Franklin co, Ind. Thanks Mike --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Y! Web Hosting - Let the expert host your web site

Bonnie, I downloaded AOL 8.0 last thursday and every time I tried to run it, it froze up. I had to use control, alternate, delete to shut down. I had to do this twice, then on the 3rd try my computer went "Crazy" nothing worked like it was supposed to. I finaly went back and used 5.0 to reach AOL Tech. I explained my computer problems. I signed off. When I tried to re-boot, my computer said I was out of memory. I have 30 Gigs on my hard drive and 128 m. Ram. I ended up having to go to the Library and get their answer. It was 7 pages long. I ended up having a Tech Save as much as the COMPUTER WOULD LET HIM, and then I lost everything else. He had to Run my Restore Discs and then re load what he saved. And you think you have PROBLEMS I went back to 7.0 AOL. Then sat down and cried. Good Luck Jack
Okay I will! Thanks! Bonnie
To whoever the kind soul was that wrote an email saying something adverse about Ad-Ware or whatever the name of it is.... In an attempt to prevent "spy ware" I downloaded "Ad-Ware" which, after several days, I found all kinds of wierd pop ups for advertising! So I then deleted Ad-Ware and now my Picture It Publishing is corrupted! Other problems too like can't get into certain sites that require a password....says my "browser isn't up to date." Not true! Running XP on a Dell Dimension 2100 with 8.0 AOL browser! HELP! What is going on? Bonnie
Hello Bonnie...... I have found a Charles C CURTIS that I think is yours....... in the Civil War Pension Index and the LDS 1880 Census......
