Can anyone tell me anything about Delilah (Thornton) and her husband Joseph Dawson? Delilah b. 1808 in Cherokee Nation East (prob. what is now Hamilton Co., Tn.); She was an old settler and came west before the trail of tears. She and her husband both probably buried Flint District, Cherokee Nation West, I.T., as they were known to have lived there at one time. They had 4 children of this marriage: Mary, Joseph, jr., Elizabeth and Thomas. I am especially trying to find their date and place of death and burial place. Does anyone have any record that they could do a look-up for me concerning anything about the above mentioned people? Delilah was my gggrandmother. Thank you for any help. Dorothy dottur@ptsi.net
