I'm researching the Sockwell surname. I know I have ancestors who moved to OK and TX in the late 1800's. I have a postcard with a photo of West Half, Main Street, Duncan, OK from April, 1908. The photo shows the various businesses and the trafffic - mules and wagons! It is from Oscar Sockwell to his brother John H. Sockwell. He states he has "moved the Bottling works to the new Ice Factory. Am now ready for the rush this summer." I also know I have ancestors buried in a cemetery in Mountain Park, OK.
