Hi all! I just received a few packets from NARA and I have a couple of question to throw out to you...One of the packets I requested was a Citizenship Application for MINTA COBB. There wasn't much in it, but there were some new names to add to my research; GOINS and BIG DOLLAR. Here's what it contained: Minta Cobb, mother of Maude Bell Cobb and Johnnie Cobb, was the child of an unknown Goins. Minta's paternal grandfather and grandmother were Nathan Goins and Mary McGill (1/2 Cherokee). Nathan's father was James Goins (1/2 Cherokee). Mary McGill's father and mother were an unknown Big Dollar "full blood" and Hannah Big Dollar "half breed". (The terminology used is directly from the affidavit in the packet.) Does anyone have any info on the above surnames? Minta claimed 1/8 Cherokee...how is the blood quantum figured? Also, has anyone else requested a Citizenship app and received more info ie marriage licenses, etc..? Jeanne
