Hello to all, Does anyone here know of a Ben Strickler born probably after 1850. He may have moved from Arkansas to Oklahoma. He was my g grandfather. My g grandmother was Maggie/Margaret/Sissy Downing. He was said to have just disappeared. I found in the Ft. Smith records at NAIL? that a man named Ben Strickler appeared before a judge there. If I obtain these records what would they indicate, besides his offense and his fine. I have his interview with Dawes but it gives little information about him He was denied. Where do I start when researching a man who "just" disappeared? Thank you in advance for any information you can give me. Edwina
