Recently I posted some information that I had learned on Prodigy's Missing Link Genealogy newsletter. The heading was under "Researching in Oklahoma" and gave information about the completion of Vol III on the above subject. Since there had been quite a number of posts here on the subject, I passed that information on. Since that time, I have had quite a few e-mails asking me for information about Vol III and the other Vols. plus I have been asked to do look-ups. I do not have any of the Vols. yet. However, I have found a site titled "Whites in Indian Territory". This site lists a number of books and their contents. By clicking on the button" Back to the Main Page", you will find a fantastic amount of other sources for genealogy in general with many links to Native American genealogy and other specialized areas. I clicked on Cherokee and could not believe the amount of sources that were listed. This information will not provide you answers, you will have to decide which ones may be helpful in your research. I have made a list and will see if I can obtain any through an inter-library loan. But, since I live in VA may not be able to obtain many and will then have to decide which ones I can purchase.
