jc, Seeing that it is a little slow on this sight, I will quit being a "lurker" and see if I can get or give a little information on people I have listed in my family tree. William Johnson MELTON, b. March 27, 1856, Vassand, Yorkshire, England, m. Mary Melcina WILLIAMS, b. May 10, 1868. Her parents were Levi Williams, b. ?, and Alice WILSON, b.?. I have a birthplace for Mary Melcina listed as Burlington, Texas and as Illinois. Son of William Johnson MELTON and Mary Melcina WILLIAMS is George Leonard Melton is George Leonard MILTON, b. Feb 8, 1892, Navajo, Greer, Indian Territory. There is possibly a daughter Florence who died at birth or shortly thereafter. William Johnson MELTON died April 25, 1893. Mary Melcina married William's brother, John Henry MILTON in January of 1894. They in turn had a son, James H. MILTON, b. 1896. in Indian Territory, William and Mary were divorced. Later Mary married Lee ALLEN, b. ?. They had twins, Columbus Roswell ALLEN and Weber L. ALLEN, b. May 27, 1898, White Cloud Territory, OK. This is the information I have. The primary information I am looking for is on William Johnson MELTON and Mary Melcina WILLIAMS. I do have copies of letters written to Mary from William evidently while William was on a cattle drive. One of the towns mentioned is Warren in Greer County. Another letter written from William to Mrs. Mollie Milton dtd July the 9, 1890 was from Murray, Young Co, Texas. I know this sounds sort of confusing but hopefully someone can give some more information. Thanks, Jim
