For some reason my grandfather changed his last name sometime in the 1930's or 1920's We can not find out where or why we do know that his mother was Betsy and that Wildcat may have been his step- father .If you have any way that I might check this out please let me know. Thank you Laura Lynn Walker-lear" ~~~~~~~ Laura- There is a "Gee-yah-ha Wildcat" on the Dawes roll-- #21071 "age 18" as at 1 Sep 1902. His father is shown as William and his mother is shown as Anniwakie (or Amiwakie) Wildcat, and they were all full-bloods. If this is the same person, you may order his Dawes application-- but the best information might come from his mother's Guion Miller application (#17169) which should show all of his family back at least two generations. You can order these copies from the OK Historical Society (see their site at http://www.ok-history.mus.ok.us/). Good luck jc
