Janis, I too have made a trip to Okla. City to look at their records. If you do get one of their antique microfilm readers, by the time you get it to work, you won't get to look at much before your turn is up and you have to give it to someone else. The way their entire system is set up makes one constantly feel like they are pressured to hurry up. I'm sure they have a lot of material, but it isn't exactly easy to find, and the people who work there act like they really don't like being asked questions. If you want to see how a place like that should be operated, go to Little Rock, Ar. to the Arkansas History Commission. The traffic there in Little Rock is terrible, but it is worth it. The have tons of records from that whole area, not just Ar, and the people who work there will bend over backwards to help you. From my house Okla. City is a 4 hour drive and Little Rock is 10 but I will drive the extra 6 again one day, that's how much difference there is. Dale Thompson
