But this person was speaking specifically about the Guion Miller Roll and 1907/09 era That roll was exclusively Cherokee, and at that time in history the women were listed by their married names. In the many years that I have worked in these records, I have never seen them shown by anything other than their married name. Can you give me a specific example (roll and application number) of one being shown otherwise? Jerri Chasteen ~~~
