Searching in the Choctaw Nation in the what was later Durant and Hugo area for the family of : M. Benjamin HARROLD born 1851 ILL , died in Choctaw Nation Nov. 1901, gravesite is unkn. It is "family story" that this family had recieved "Indian Land" but his wife Paralee lost this land to unpaid taxes/fees after Ben Harrold died in Nov 1901. The area they were living in was called Little Boggy Creek which lies between Durant and Hugo. I am still searching for proof they ever filed a Homestead. This family is found on the 1900 Durant, Choctaw Nation Fed. Census listing thier race as white.
