    3. Hello everybody. Glad to have joined the list. Already making contact I hope. In response to Linda Davis and the message you posted yesterday. I'm also researching the Killbuck, Pye, Haff lines. My ggg grandmother was Mary Jane Killbuck m. John Marker. Their daughter Sarah Ellen Marker m. William Coffee Woodall Jr. was my gg grandmother. Their son Stand Woodall m. Louise Agnes Lesoeur my g-grandfather. And their son William Coffee Woodall m. Norma Grantello my grandfather. Please contact me. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Would appreciate any information anybody has on these Killbuck or Woodall lines. Do know that William Coffee Woodall Sr. was voted in Senator of the Cherokee Nation after the Civil War. Does anybody know how to find information on him during his time in office? Also searching for information on the French/Wintu Indian Lesoeur's (?spelling). Was supposedly the first woman to graduate from Haskell Indian College. How do I find this information? ----Valerie __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? In 1936 a federal project created The Indian and Pioneer History Interviews of Oklahoma (read about them at http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/pioneer/pioneer.htm#about ). There are a number of Woodalls who are listed in the card-file index to these (microfilm IPH-39) and one was a delightful account of a trip that one branch of the Woodall family made to California during the gold rush days. There was one account of the wagon train being swooped down upon by one of the wild Indian tribes- and the attackers shock when they found who they were attacking! The result was that some of the "wild" Indians join them as guides You asked about information of William Coffey Woodall- there is information about parents, marriages, political life, and children in volume 11, pages 532/539 of these interviews. In volume 75, pages 388/400 there is more information about his life, including a 14-page interview with William Coffey Woodall Jr. These may be ordered (printed or on microfilm) through the Oklahoma Historical Society - see instructions at http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/pioneer/ohsindex.htm Good luck Jerri Chasteen
