The counties listed in "When Coal Was King" published by the Eastern OK Historical Society, is Coal, Pittsburg, Haskell, Latimer (northern 1/2), and the northern 1/2 of LeFlore. This is a great book if anyone has ancestors from this area or who were in the coal mining business. I purchased my copy from the Pittsburgh Co. Historical and Gen. Society for a minimal amount, I think about $5. Well worth the money, this book is full of information! Hope this helps!
