O'siyo, I would also like to know if there is a roster of Cherokees who fought at Pea Ridge and how I can get a hold of copies of service records of those who fought in this battle. I am related to Sheltons, Morgans, Pigs, Lowery/Lowrys, and McDaniels who are thus all related. I would appreciate any information also these previously listed families who are all Cherokee. He was a GGgson of Major George Lowrey. I have not been able to learn much about him except the following: He was born in the Cherokee Nation East, c 1821, married Anohie Bigbullet and had one child with her a Bowl Lowrey. He later married Lucy Fourkiller and had four children, Silas, Kate, Elis and my Ggf John Lowrey who was born near Stilwell. I had a date of death for William Lowrey of 1861 but have seen him on the roster of the 1st Cherokee Mounted Rifles-Holt's Squadron. And I have been told that he was in the battle of Pea Ridge. My Ggf John was born in 1845 or 46 and as far as I know was the youngest child of Lucy Fourkiller and William Lowrey. There is a Lowery and a Lowry on the Drennan roll of 1852. They both are on page 149. I would appreciate any information about how I might learn more about these people on the Drennan roll. Also, I would like to know if there is a listing of Cherokees who fought at Pea Ridge and those that were killed there.
