Hi, Am searching for any connections (relatives or others) and information on a few families from the Pottawatomie County OK area. The major names are Joseph Blackstone Deen, William Wallace Melott, and any connection to the Gierhart family who lived in or near Shawnee between 1890-1910. Melott had two wives, the first was Naoma Gierhart, who must have died young, possibly after childbirth. She had one son, Charles R. Melott. W.W. Melott then married again to Myrtle ? and they had several children. They are all listed on the Citizen Pottawatomie Nation rolls.
