I was always told that my grandmother and great grandmother were Choctaw Indian and one was a princess. I finally found out what my grandmother's maden name was, Daisy Grey/Gray Shimp Phillips. Daisy's mother was Phoebe Grey/Gray. The line stops with her. I have not be able to get anything on her, except that Phoebe married Franklin Schimpf/Schimp. Daisy married Arthur Phillips in 1907 in Ohio. Their son, Bernard FrankPhillips was my grandfather. The above were in Guernsey, Ohio, and they moved later to central Illinois.
