While "virus warnings" are barred from this mail list because there are so many out there that are nothing more than a joke, I DO feel that when a real one comes along that I (NO ONE ELSE) should notify the mail list! This is an e-mail Trojan Horse-type "Worm", but it cannot come to you thorough the rootsweb mail list-- let me assure you of that. The reason that it cannot come to you from our mail list is that it is necessary for you to open an attachment, and rootsweb does not allow attachments to be sent to a mail list. You may read about this worm at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/happy99.worm.html or http://www.datafellows.com/v-descs/ska.htm This worm and other trojan-horse type programs demonstrate the need to practice safe computing. One should not execute any executable-file attachment (i.e. EXE, SHS, MS Word or MS Excel file) that comes from an email or a newsgroup article from an unknown or a untrusted source.
