    3. Thought I would let everyone know-- I received an e-mail today with an attachment that said "Happy99.exe". Needless to say- I did not open the .exe file and I sent it to a safe place to be forwarded to the proper authorities. For new subscribers or those who missed my first warning, this is a REAL virus warning, but it cannot be sent to you through a Rootsweb mail list. It must be sent as an attached file, and the Rootsweb system will not post a message to a mail list containing an attachment. You may want to read more about this worm/virus at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/happy99.worm.html or http://www.datafellows.com/v-descs/ska.htm One person gave a vivid example of his resolve to NEVER open an .exe attachment to an e-mail- He said that although he was Catholic, he wouldn't open one if it was sent by the Pope! As for myself, even if it is sent to me by a friend or family member-- do I REALLY know exactly where they got it? I explain to those who send me an attachment containing an ".EXE" file that if they want me to look at material, then either send it (printed) though the mail or put it on a web page and furnish me with the web address! This is not to alarm you, but I just wanted you to know that it IS being circulated! jc List Owner
