Hi, I'm researching my ggrandfather William B. DAVIDSON of Tamaha, I.T. (OK near Stigler in Haskell County) and was wondering if anyone has information that has anything to do with that town. It was on the Arkansas River and was a stop enroute to Ft. Smith, AR. The Steam Ferry stopping there was named the Maud F and D.S. and C.C. SUMMERS, were the proprietors according to a 1906 Tamaha newspaper. Most of the town was destroyed by a fire in the late 1930s, so, most all town records were lost. Thanks for any help.
