X-Envelope-To: TIDWELL-L X-Mozilla-Status2: 00000000 This William Tidwell from Chester SC as indicated by a will he witness for James Lockhart of Chester 1836 wife Nancy Lockhart & children. Am trying to confirm James & Nancy were pars of Perry Jackson Lockhart of Jackson Co FL 1850/1860. Nancy was next door & James was Perry's 1st son name. The children of Wm Tidwell & Filan listed here as well as his later m. to Amanda Bolton daugh Amanda, match a lot of Perry's fam names i.e., John, Green, Thomas, Marion (a poss. bro), James H.. Do any of you have a Lockhart connection here? Thanks, Sam Bolling: BOSAM3@juno.com To Larry Phelps Larry, I beleive we are definitely on to something here. Hope you received the "Andreas" notes that I sent you. 1) Refer again to entry no. 65 on p.13 re; James & Nancy Lockhart (I'm certain Chester Co. SC). On the Jackson Cl. Fl. censuses both 1850 &1860, William Tidwell & family appear as follows; 1850= William J. Tidwell 30 SC, Filan Ann 32 Ten., Mary 12 SC, Elizabeth 9, Caroline 5, John C. 4 (all SC), Aliff J. 3 FL, William W. 1 FL (by FL b. dates indicates Fl migration fr. SC ~ca 1846). Also they are fam# 607 in 1860 & 164 in 1850, CLOSE to Lockharts! Confirm this on the glorecords land patents as: William J. Tidwell 12/1/1857 Jackson Co. sect3 tn 6N rg 9W / sect33/34 tn 7N rg 9W places him 3 miles SW of Perry & Nancey & 4 mi. SE of Joseph Lockhart! --------------64361B69D0818E358862F148--
