How about the name Jereter? Would that be more plausible as an Amerind name?? The name Jerita Wall was written down on my ggrandfather's Quaker marriage certificate sometime in the 1880's (I forget what year, think maybe 1885) by someone. He was a bastard from North Carolina who had been brought to Henry County, Indiana about 1867. Someone thought it was his mother's name, but subsequent investigation revealed it may have been his grandmother's name. I do keep an open mind however, and it could be his mother or grandmother's name. Tim
