Could any of you share any info you have on the Robersons of LeFlore Co., late 1800s? I am trying to find the parents of Eliza Jane Roberson, my great- grandmother. In the 1910 census, she's listed as 48 years old, married to Charlie Lippy and living in Shady Point, Ok. She is listed as white on that census but likely was not reporting Native American lineage on the part of either of her parents. Both white and Choctaw Robersons lived in Leflore County at that time. Eliza is not on the Choctaw rolls of 1902, but by that time she was married to Lippy. I can verify that she had lived in Ok at least 22 years prior to the 1910 census, but hearsay tells me she was there from childhood. As I don't know which were her parents, I'm checking out all Oklahoma Robersons. Her family is reportedly from Tennessee and/or Missouri. Liza died in Noel, MO, while visiting her married daughter around 1915, and is buried there. Thank you, Rhonda Jordan rlb119@aol.com
