Doug Ah, this is all very interesting. I was researching the Robersons of Indian Territory and found an E.C. Roberson on the Choctaws' 1882 intruder list. His address was listed as Fort Smith, Arkansas, and he had been there 25 years. I wondered if he lived in Fort Smith and farmed in the Territory. Now I wonder if the Fort Smith homestead itself was in question. Any ideas?
