My greatgrandfather went to Nowata Oklahoma about 1904,he and his wife had 2 daughters.I checked in Oklahoma City and was informed they did not keep birth records that early.This was in Indian Territory before Okla. became a state.Did they keep birth record in Indian Territory and how do I go about finding them?
