Jerri, About the Oklahoma Archives, would that be the Muskogee library...Wally Waits Gen. Librarian? Would they have any application info for the Five Civ. they could photocopy? I would like to get some info from NARA.gov but am not sure the person listed is my ancestor and it IS expensive - especially those pesky misses. Any suggestions? We have relatives that applied in 1907 for the Dawes and were on the Creek Nation Cases lists. If we could access the applications and ascertain the names of their grandparents, location, etc.... Funny thing about our family HAWKINS, there are a billion David's, William's, Benjamin's, Lavonia's in IT.... I suspect there may be relation to Col. Benj. Hawkins, Indian Agent and Lavinia but no proof yet and I think one of ours might have been the illegitimate son. Anyone here from that family that can help?
