I thought I would post a query and hopefully help get this list back on genealogy! This is one of my brick walls...... Wm Reed (or Reid) was Scotch., and lived with Susan (daughter of Old Nanny) near Old Tennnessee Town on the Tuckaseegee River (NC) near East LaPort.. Reed claimed 640 acres reserve by right of his wife, but was evicted by white intruders. They moved to the to the Going Snake District, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). I believe they were dead by 1851__________________________________________________________________ Do any of you have any suggestions as to where I can find early information on the Going Snake District? I would like to find where William and Susan are buried , Or at least where they lived in Going Snake Dist . Any suggestions would be appreciated.
