    1. [IT ROOTS] DNA babble

    3. Here it is, the year is 2001. What a shame to see such terrible prejudice on this sight. I have enjoyed this sight off and on. The ignorance and prejudice though have finally made me so sick that I will be unsubscribing. We were all made with a brain, so lets start using it. Every where in the US that I have had the oppurtunity to live, the most honest, friendly and genuine people have been Mormons. Never once have they forced their religion or beliefs onto me. If I was interested sure, if not, no big deal. They were still genuine friends. You seem to be sitting here in ignorant judgement about a subject and people you know nothing about. True, they baptize their dead. It is a religious belief. What harm has been done. Such religious intolerance from a group of people who claim to have injustices done to them over the years. What a two faced attitude. Revenge is mine saith the Lord. We must forgive 70 x 7. One side of my family has white and black, the other side is Cherokeee/Choctaw and white. We look white until you pay attention to the features. The cheek bones, forehead, nose, and the patient and quiet demeanor. True Indian characteristics. How I would love to know by DNA which line to research next, instead of spending hundreds of dollars with dead end research resulting from prideful Americanized Indians. If you would do some research instead of being so judgemental you would find out that this is a privately funded research project with no government ties, and all information will remain private unless illegally obtained by the government. And the most important aspect, it is totally voluntary. No force. If you would notice, they are collecting samples from people in countries where there is very little if any Christianity. Sure doesn't sound like a religious or government plot to me. Sounds like people trying to find another way to link with family. Where would we be without ideas, ingenuity and progress (Most of it)? By the way, what group of people, free of charge, have donated the largest amount of information that we all benefit from in the genealogy world? The Mormons. What group of people have distorted the facts, taken the genealogy that is free and put it on their own web sites and charge a fee to use? Not the Mormons. So take your ignorance and hatred and rechannel that energy into something more positive and good. What have these people done to have ever hurt you. I certainly hope you are never judged for your religion or lack of it, race or skin color. May we all quit worrying about such non-important issues and start worrying about what is truly important. Our countries freedom. This country is falling from within, and it starts with each one of us not wanting to get along, being judgmental without thinking and getting the facts first, and plain old hatred and revenge. Try being kind, remember who you are, make the best of your life and leave a positive and good impression on those you come in contact with. Nobody needs to be remembered as a negative, complaining, and paranoid person. You cause your own grief and pain. Nobody inflicts it upon you but yourself, and you certainly are not giving a very good example of yourself in your correspondence to this sight. Try to remember what you have learned in all of your research. Remember the history throughout the world. Remember who has caused the pain and who has been kind. Most of all--Say and do kind things and don't rush to judgement when you have no facts other than a partial statement. As a genealogist you should know better!!! Thanks for letting me speak my mind.
