The information concerning DNA pros and cons is only that--information. I can take it or leave it. It really bothers me, though, to read the personal attacks on Jerri Chasteen. She does a fine job of managing the list and has to give an enormous amount of time to an unpaid and mostly thankless undertaking. She obviously is very knowledgeable about genealogy and is fully qualified for her position. My only connection with her is through the list, but I've seen her help members time and time again; and with a great deal of patience. Please, let's stop the personal attacks!

Thanks for all of the support and to those who have e-mailed me privately-- I try, but it is very difficult to please 845 people :o) The main point is that everyone who subscribes to this list received the List Rules, which specifically excludes discussions of "body parts". I have no problem with those who feel that the list rules are too strict. There are many other mail lists available and they do have a choice. But I had received 16 unsubscribe notices of those who were sick of it, even BEFORE I posted my "No more DNA" message - plus over 20 personal messages saying "when are you going to stop all of this DNA stuff"! On a humorous note- one person who had blasted me and "unsubscribed" with a flourish, then came back in and subscribed under a different name (same computer!) to take yet another shot! Ah, meeeeeee! Everyone have a good weekend-- and lets get back to G-E-N-E-A-L-O-G-Y! Jerri Chasteen
