I am new at this and so I don't know what might be offfensive. I asked what Scatchwah meant because it is a word that is connected with my ggggrandmother Elizabeth Driggers. It is even on her grave marker. I just wanted to know what it means. I believe that my gggrandmother was Walkinghorse who was known as Martha Jane Carmon. I just want to know what tribe or nation this name may have origninated from so that I might look on some Indian Rolls to see if I can find any of these my ancestors. Strong emotions, heart & soul issues are not something that any one race owns except for the human race. Since I can remember, I have been called by a longing to know. I was accused of just wanting to get my hands on Indian Land or other such sinister motives. Come on, just think about it. After several e-mails back and forth I eventually was called a 'thinblood' by Jerri & basically a hopless case that needs to just go away. I know that human beings go through many things and we need to extend patience & long suffering toward one another. I still would appreciate hearing from anyone that might be able to point me in the right direction. Blessings, suzanne I TOTALLY agree with Douglas and Jerri.
