    2. How may I find out information regarding my family who lived in East Tn, Carolina's and Ga? They all seemed to have disappeared into thin air, (figure of speech) there are census of them but no death record. I am seaching the Vann's, Kings, Powell, and Dickson. Agaliha99

Also see if the court house records even survived the Civil War and "Mother Nature's storms". An even better record (recorded VERY early) would be the Wills and Probate Records of the county.
