Hello, I am looking for info on "Jack"Smith family they were the first settlers of Richwoods Township AR. That is where Amagon is today in Jackson Co.AR. "Jack" had children Jim,Tom,Babe,Doll,Sarah Smith.With Jim[A.James] being my GGrandpa they were Indian[got this out of a book in Newport Libary] I have pictures Of Tom and Jims Grave and there Headstones have a Symbol at the bottom < O > Does anyone one know what this Symbol means.They are buried on a Mound I know they were Indian but i do not know what tribe[maybe Quapaw] I know the Smith name is one of the hardest to search,but any help is appreciated.
