Bourland, Chickasaw, daughter of Caroline Willis, Chickasaw, and William Bourland, daughter of James Hamilton Willis and Amanda Love, Chickasaw. James Hamilton Willis was the son of James Willis, who was the son of Britton Willis. Amanda Love was the daughter of Henry W. Love and Sarah Ann Moore. Henry was the son of Thomas Love and Sally Colbert and Sally Colbert was the daughter of James Logan Colbert and his first wife. Zach and Kate were married 13 Jun 1878 in Pickens County Chickasaw Nation and had the following children. They lived their whole married life in the Marlow Stephens County OK area, where their original allotments were. 1. Edward Howard married Alata Elizabeth Kinzey. 2.
