    2. I'd LOVE it if someone out there would have any information regarding an Iceophine Cappis, born about 1800s living Indiana, Illinois, & Kellogg Township, Jasper Iowa (for sure in 1895). Husband was white, Henry Cappis. I can find all sorts of information about him, but no mention of her. I know she existed .. I have pictures. Any ideas? Miki

    3. Lee Ann, I had GGGma Candas Buckner Stone b. ca 1805, wife of Wiley Stone b.1803 SC Candas had a sis, Charlotte (Lotty) 2nd wife of John Rogers. I first found them in Forsyth Co, GA. Then Blount Co, AL and finally AR and IT I don't have their father, but their mother was Eleanor Buckner, who had land in a lottery in GA (probably 1830 but may have forgotten the year) As for Quarles, I had to honor to serve with a Quarles from Conway, AR. ron At 05:11 AM 7/10/05 +0000, you wrote: >Researching: Buckner, Quarles, >Lee Ann Collins > > >==== Indian-Territory-Roots Mailing List ==== >For instructions to unsubscribe and list rules, click on >http://www.rootsweb.com/~cherokee/welcome.html >List owner: jerri@cherokee.net Archives: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/ > >

    3. Here I found GGPa Wm Pitchford Stone b1844, GA, a widower with his family: George Maloy Stone son (father of Willard Stone) Charlotta Belle Stone. (named after aunt Charlotte Rogers apparently) Wm Wiley Stone -my GPa -b. 1875 AR Elizabeth F (Bolding) Stone my GMa b. 1876 IT Silvester Clarence Stone my FA b 1897 IT Frances E Stone (sister of SC above) b. 1899 IT on the same page was the James & Martha Hancock family .. Martha being one of Wm P' and Sarah Elizabeth (Christopher) Stone's daughters. Another, Mary Etta Stone m. John (James' brother) Hancock in Harrison, AR Their farm was located in Township 15, Range 19 East per the top of the sheet. By 1910 I believe Wm P has returned to OR with the John and Mary Etta Hancocks. Several years ago we located his unmarked grave and dedicated a Civil War Stone, commemorating his service in the 28th AL Infantry of the CSA. About a hundred of Wm P's descendants were able to come to the ceremony. While he was being eulogized by a grey clad dedicator, a whirlwind blew in from a nearby hill and scattered the guest book all over the place ... some of us wondered if he had just said "howdy" ! George Maloy Stone and family stayed in OK where many descendants still reside. If anyone has something to add or a comment or two, I would welcome any and all. ron
