All of the above listed surnames were in IT between 1900-1910. Not sure of all locations but the areas of Ada/Allen, Pontotoc Co. and Bryan Co., OK I am sure of. My STANTON/DUNNAM grandparents were married in Pontontoc Co., OK in June, 1907. Most came from MS but some may have come from AL & TN. Anyone researching these lines, PLEASE????? contact me. Thank you, Gail

The counties listed in "When Coal Was King" published by the Eastern OK Historical Society, is Coal, Pittsburg, Haskell, Latimer (northern 1/2), and the northern 1/2 of LeFlore. This is a great book if anyone has ancestors from this area or who were in the coal mining business. I purchased my copy from the Pittsburgh Co. Historical and Gen. Society for a minimal amount, I think about $5. Well worth the money, this book is full of information! Hope this helps! Dear Listers , For those persons seeking information about Choctaw relatives , there is an excellent site under roots web dot com Oklahoma for Atoka County Oklahoma. This was the seat , I believe of the Choctaw Nation . There are census and marriage and asundry records on line for that site in Atoka County Oklahoma.
