The Maharana is actually his elder brother, Mahendra Singh. Arvind Singh is however the owner of the entire family property. The late Maharana, Bhagwat Singh made Arvind Singh his successor through his will but the Thikanedars (Nobles) refused to accept the bypassing of the elder son and therefore Arvind Singh inherited the property but not the title.
