Greetings all, Whilst surfing the web, I came across the following bit of Information on the Coorg State. Raja Vira Rajendra II c1800-1863, last ruler of Coorg (1820/1834), was deposed, exiled and later allowed to travel to England, where he died and was buried in Kensal Green Cemetary. He had a daughter named Gauramma (1842-1864), who converted to the Chriatian faith, being baptized in 1852, taking the name of Victoria (Queen Victoria was a sponsor). She is said to have married a British Officer and gave birth to a son. After her death both husband and son are said to have disappeared from the records. Has anyone heard of this story and knows a bit more of the history of the Raja and his daughter, and her family? Cheers, Henry
