There is great deal of confusion over the famous "Zubeida". I have discovered that in fact there were two zubeidas, one zubeida of jodhpur and other zubeida of sachin state. It was zubeida , the illegitimate daughter of nawab of sachin who acted in first indian talkie movie "Alam ara". She is usually confused with zubeida patel of shyam benegal fame. This zubeida married Raja Dhanrajgir , one of richest jagirdars of hyderabad state. She is mother of industralist Humayun Dhanrajgir. She died in 1988. ( courtesy Times of India, 1988) The second zubeidaa was zubeida of jodhpur immmortalised by shyam benegal movie "Zubeidaa". Her son from first marriage is famous indian film critic Khalid mohammad who wrote the script of the movie. I want to know which movie did she act in? does anyone know? ps: i have heard an old legend that film actress Saira Banu is illegitimate child of Maharaja of indore or gwalior. Saira is the illegitamate child of one of the princes from the same region but not of Indore or Gwalior.
