Henry, Maharaja Udai Prakash is the Maharaja of Nahan (Sirmur). He is the son of the Maharani of Jaipur's elder half sister who married in Alipura. He was adopted in succession in l965, but this was not recognized by the Indian Govenment, and as a result the Privy Purse was not continued. I am assuming that one of the Ranis of Rajendra Prakash Singh was responsible for the adoption, and since his maternal grandmother was the Nagod Princess, it was probably her doing. At the same time, I believe that the late Maharaja Rakjendra Prakash Singh left a good deal of his property to the present Maharani of Jaipur (who was not married to the Maharaja at the time of her father's death in1964).
