The present Raja has three daughters, and there doesn't appear to be a male heir in the immediate family. Porbandar has a number of eligible heirs, but the late Maharaja failed to follow tradition and instead adopted his step-son, as a result, there is no representative of the Royal Family presently known, although a number of young nobles of the Morana, Ratdi, Shrinagar, Pandavadar and Baredia branches were eligible for adoption.
